I had to void a payroll check. How do I print a new one for the same person, same pay week?

I payroll check printed wrong so I voided the check. Now it will not let me print a new check for that week for that person. How do I fix this?

Sometimes too much cache accumulated in a browser might cause unexpected behavior with the product. This can be the reason why you're unable to print your new check. 

 

However, we can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to immediately address the issue. To start, access your account in a private window. This mode doesn't save your browsing history and will help isolate the issue. Simply press the following shortcut keys to open this window:

 

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).

 

Once done, try printing again the checks. If you're able to print it successfully, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. You can also use another supported browser to check this out. 

 

In case you're still getting a similar result, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Support Team. This way, they can check your account and trace where might this issue is coming from.

 

Additionally, you can run some payroll reports in QuickBooks. This way, you can get a closer look at your business's finances and view useful information about your business and employees.

I had to void a payroll check. How do I print a new one for the same person, same pay week?

I tried the private window browser fix. That did not work. I tried to go to re-printing the check by running the payroll for that week and that person. It tells me to delete the check and re-run it. I can not delete it. It will not give me an option to even delete the void I did. Everything I do it tells me to contact Quickbooks to take care of the problem.

I advise contacting our Customer support team, This way, one of the representatives will be able to help you correcting your payroll. 

 

To reach out to our  Customer Support Team, here's how: 

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company. Then click Help (?).  
  2. Click Talk to a human.  
  3. Choose Talk to a human.  
  4. Enter your concern.  
  5. You can either select Get a callback or Message an agent to get a representative on the line. 

 

To ensure that you'll be assisted immediately, I recommend checking our support hours before performing the steps.
