I have a family member as an employee, not subject to FUTA or SUI, how do I get quickbooks to stop accruing and trying to pay those taxes?

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can adjust the employee's profile to be exempt from SUI. However, for those employees exempt from SUI, they must pay FUTA at the full rate. 

To exempt employee from SUI, here's what you'll need to do:

1. In the left menu, click Workers or Payroll.
2. Go to the Employees tab.
3. Choose an employee, then click to open the profile.
4. In the Pay section, tap the Pencil icon.
5. Hit the Pencil icon under What are Employee's withholdings?.
6. In the Tax exemptions section, put a checkmark in the SUI box.
7. Click Done twice.

The last two steps don't exist in the online version.  And the employee is exempt from FUTA and SUI so it only failed to deal with part of the problem and missed the other.

Meanwhile, cache might have contributed on this unexpected result that we have right now. Though it helps your browser or device's background processes run smoothly, this can also cause unexpected issues when piled up. Here's how to get rid of any cache-related concerns:

1. Open a private browser and log in to your account. It uses but doesn't store cache.
2. If they can see the Tax exemptions option successfully, we can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache.
3. Other supported browsers are good alternatives, too. Each of them uses a different cache.
