I'd like to make sure you're able to run the payroll successfully, tfeeser.

Are you getting an error that you can't run payroll for a closed period? If so, we can try to toggle the pay period and pay date by following these steps:

  1. Go to Workers on the left panel.
  2. Click the Employees tab.
  3. Select the Run payroll button.
  4. Select the pay schedule and click Continue.
  5. Toggle the Pay period and Pay date. Then change it back to the original date.
  6. If there's no error, click the Preview payroll button located at the bottom.

On the other hand, please make sure to complete the employee information (hire date, date of birth, or their pay details), so you can run payroll with no problem.

Let me know how it goes and I'll get back to you the soonest. Thanks.

I fixed my error message!!!!   I had to go into History on my PC and clear: browsing history, cached images, cookies.  Choose BASIC.  Then go back into QB and refresh.  Try and run payroll again.

This will save me in the future!  Thank you QB techs!
