I keep getting an error code when I run payroll --1584-7287-33608-fci_i Any ideas on how I can fix this problem?
We haven't received any reported cases at this time regarding this error code when submitting payroll. I can help you isolate this so you can process your payroll normally.
This can work if you use a private browser. You'll need to make sure you're using chrome. The easiest way to open it is with the keyboard shortcut combination Ctrl-Shift-N (Windows) or Command-Shift-N (macOS).
Once you go incognito, please log in to your QBO account and process your payroll from there.
If it works, you can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache for a fresh start. There are times wherein stored cache can affect the program's performance and cause odd behaviors. However, if the issue persists, please reach out to our Online Payroll Support. This way, they can further investigate why you keep getting this error.

I've checked from our records and haven't found any ongoing investigation about the problem you're having. At this time, I encourage following the steps provided by IntuitLily to try running the report using a private browser to isolate the issue further, It that works fine, clear you're browser's cache to start fresh. Sometimes, the regular browser tends to hold onto information, and over time it could cause problems while working with QuickBooks.
If you're getting the same problem, I recommend reaching out to our Support Team to check and review this further. To contact support, tap on Contact us from the Help menu.

I'm getting the similar error code ending in "fci_i" when I try to set up payroll. I was told by Quickbooks there is an open investigation on this and we can't do anything until they respond.
I too have been getting this error (1611-9502-71802-fci_i) since Oct 2020 (today is Jan 29, 2021). Yes for almost four months now I have NOT been able to process any payments through Quickbooks Online. I have called and spent countless hours with Quickbooks Support over the months and am continually told that "a supervisor will call you back", NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED ME BACK. If you folks want me to cancel my account, please just tell me so rather than the abusive tactic of ignoring my issue with your broken code for months. Please advise
I am trying to process payroll, and I am getting this same error code. Upon checking the customer care site found this answer to my probelm, and tried going with a private browser and the problem did not get fixed. I still get error code 1627-3088-58137-fci_i
Please advice. Need to process payroll today
Welcome and thanks for the prompt response, @954Gaming.
I appreciate you for trying out the steps provided above. It's my priority for you to run payroll.
What payroll transaction are you trying to run? If you're trying to create a bonus check, then we have an ongoing issue where users are receiving a "We hit a snag" error when trying to complete the setup in payroll.
At this moment, we aren't able to provide a specific timeframe for the resolution. Rest assured that our product engineers are diligently working for a fix.
The only workaround is to click the "X" button in the We hit a snag screen. This will take you to the bonus page and allows you to process bonus checks.
To ensure you'll get an update on the resolution status, I also recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team to add you to our list of affected users. This way, you can receive live email updates about this issue.
