I'd be pleased to help you file your state taxes for March in QuickBooks Online, RUFFCUTSLLC.

The amounts on the reports may not equal due to reasons like a different date. To resolve this, you may want to ensure that both reports have the same date ranges. In some states, the Sales Tax reporting period is different from than calendar year.

Sales tax collected is neither income nor expense - therefore, will not show on a Profit and Loss Report. You collect sales tax from your customers and hold it (as a liability) until which time you remit it to the tax agency.

Once checked, you can follow the steps in this article to file your state taxes for March: E-file state forms & e-pay state taxes separately. On the same link, you'll find important requirements that you must have before filing them as well as states requiring separate transactions.

Let me know if you still need help with this or if you ran into a different situation by adding a reply below so I can look further into this. I want to make sure you're able to file your state taxes. Have a lovely week.
