I need to know the cost & procedure to implement QuickBooks Enterprise for a client of mine. Will I have to change my current version to match his or can I have 2 QB's?

We both have desktop versions. I just want to get him on Enterprise so that I can access it remotely as I will be working for him 130 miles from his office. I shouldn't have to upgrade mine, should I? (I have businesses of my own under my license, not ready to upgrade yet.)

If you're not accessing your clients file in the enterprise version, then you don't need to upgrade. Then you should both have the same version of quickbooks if you want to access their file in your quickbooks enterprise. So your client's file wont be upgraded.

Do you or your client have any specific reason to use Enterprise, not Pro/Premier? Should you need to access his data file, utlize the remote desktop solution.

But should you need to access the data file anytime you want, ask your client to deploy a private cloud solution.
