I need to resend an email to a new employee as they did not receive the payroll invite. I do not see a resend button. Please let me know how to do this

The Resend invite button or link is only available if you have initially invited the employee to view their paystub.

 

You can remove the employee's email address from their personal information page and save it. Once done, log out from your QuickBooks account and log back in. The system will be updated after doing this.

 

You can follow these steps to remove the details:

 

  1. Go to the Workers menu.
  2. Click Employees at the top.
  3. Locate/select the employee’s name.
  4. Under Personal info, remove the email address.
  5. Then save it.

 

After logging in, enter the employee’s email address in the field and save it. QuickBooks will automatically send the invitation to your employee.

I need to resend an employee invite.  I'm still working thru payroll setup.  However, I'm using Desktop 2019.  Can you help?

Resending an employee's invite is very easy, trinebean.

 

You'll have to log in to your QuickBooks Desktop  (QBDT) account as Administrator. Then, send invites to your employees. Please follow the steps below on how to do it.

  1. Go to Employees from the top menu. 
  2. Select Manage Payroll Cloud Services
  3. Under QuickBooks Workforce, toggle the status to ON
  4. Choose Invite Employees.
  5. Select the employees you need to give access then add their email addresses. 
  6. Click Send Invite

After inviting, have your employees accept the invitation link so that they can view their paystub. Once the link is accepted, they can now have access to their Workforce.

When following the steps it does not allow to invite an employee that already signed up.; even thought they don't have access when they try to login. I've been on the phone with support for several hours and no one is able to help. This is frustrating. I need to be able to re-send an invite. I am using QB Desktop pro 2018. Please help!

Let's find out why you're unable to add your employee and help you sort this out, mcmelectric.

 

Are you getting an error when trying to add the employee? 

 

This usually happens when you're adding your employee in an active status that's why the invitation isn't successful. You can try deleting and recreating the invite to see if you still encounter issues. If so, you can try adding your employee with a different email address.

 

However, if you're still unable to successfully send the invitation. I recommend contacting our support team to investigate this further. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment.

I am having the same issue. I cannot resend an invite to an employee who is already signed up even though they cannot sign into it. How do we resolve this issue? Do we maybe need to update our quickbooks?

You've got me here to provide some updates regarding the problem that you encountered when resending invites to employees.

 

We currently have an ongoing issue wherein employees' credentials are not generated if they've accepted the invitation already. That said, they can't log in and view the paychecks.

 

Our engineers are now working to verify the root cause of this matter so they can apply a fix in a timely manner. 

 

I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team. This way, you'll be notified once any updates about this matter are made available. You can contact them by following the steps found in this link depending on the program that you're using. 

 

Meanwhile, you can follow this workaround so your employee can view their paychecks:

  1. Get a new email invite from the employer.
  2. Open the new email invite and click on Get access to paychecks button.
  3. Sign in with the email address/username and password.
  4. If routed to the create account page, scroll down to the bottom and click on "Already have an account? Sign In" link.
  5. Click on Continue to (name of the company) button.
