I owe $4.08 in MI state Unemploy tax in QBO. I filed on website and paid required pmt of $4.00 even. Now I can't figure out how to adjust/record $4.00 only pmt!!!

  2. On the Payroll Tax Center page, scroll down to find Record Tax Payments (Prior Tax History).
  3. Click on Add Payment.

I owe $4.08 in MI state Unemploy tax in QBO. I filed on website and paid required pmt of $4.00 even. Now I can't figure out how to adjust/record $4.00 only pmt!!!

I was initially excited that this would resolve my issue. I queued up an 0.08 credit for my state unemployement. It looked good. However, when it then shows up under my Payroll Tax Center pending Payments, I either have the option to "Pay & File" or "Mark as Paid" this 0.08 credit. I tried either option and they both produce an error of "THERE IS ALREADY A TAX PAYMENT FOR THIS PERIOD: Before you can make any more payments for this period, contact us for assistance."

I then contacted phone help and the representative I spoke with said that I would just need to enter a manual adjusting entry and to contact a CPA. Like, WHAT?!?!?! Please help.
