I setup payroll last week. I have just realized that there is a typo in the account number that is pending verification. I need to update. How?

I setup payroll last week. I have just realized that there is a typo in the account number that is pending verification. I need to update. How?

We can easily update the bank account information you've entered for your direct deposit, christina16.

 

For us to do this, you must fail the test verification. This would trigger the system to enter the new information. Here's how to do it:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Payroll Settings.
  2. Under the Setup Overview, go to the Payroll and Services section.
  3. Under Payroll, select the Direct Deposit hyperlink.
  4. Go to the Employer Information Bank Account.
  5. Enter any two digits like 01, and select Verify. Do this 3 times.
  6. Afterwards, you'll have an option to update the bank account information.

After correcting the bank account information, you'll wait for the small debits in 2-3 business days again. You can follow the steps in this link to activate your account for direct deposit processing successfully: Change bank account information.

 

Then, you can already set up your employees for direct deposit and run payroll.
