When the automatic mileage tracker in QuickBooks Online isn’t working on your drives, let's ensure the auto-tracking is enabled in the QuickBooks mobile app. Here's how:

 

On iOS (iPhone and iPad): 

 

  1. Open the QuickBooks mobile app.
  2. Click the menu ☰ icon and select All.
  3. Tap Mileage and choose Auto-track your miles.
  4. Follow Allow location access on-screen instructions.


On an Android phone or tablet:

 

  1. Click the menu ☰ icon.
  2. Select Mileage.
  3. Turn on the Auto-tracking switch.
  4. Give QuickBooks permission to track your location. This will vary depending on your Android Operating System.

 

If the same thing happens, we'll need to check your device's location settings by following Step 2 in this article: Fix mileage tracking issues in the QuickBooks mobile app. Then, proceed to the next steps until the automatic mileage tracker works.

I use my phone app. I just noticed my mileage tracker stopped working a couple weeks ago. Also, my automatic tracker keeps disengaging. How do I fix this?

Mine stopped recording trips on October 5th and now I can't log in through the app.

"Parameter specified as non-null is null: method okhttp3.internal.Util.c, parameter $this_asFactory"

This needs to be fixed asap so I can track my business mileage.
