I used the QuickBooks E-File service to file 1099 for my contractors. One of them says they can create an account but are having difficulty viewing/accessing their 1099.

How can I help them find their 1099?

Did they encounter an error, chien-stny-rr-co?

Please let them check their email's inbox, spam, or junk folder to see the email. Click on the link from the invite. If they're unable to access that, let's try using a private browser to access the link.

  1. Open the invite email and select the link.
  2. If you already have a QuickBooks Self-Employedaccount, select Sign in. Or, follow the steps to create a limited QuickBooks Self-Employed account. This account has limited features: you can fill out your W-9, submit it, and view your 1099-MISC
  3. Go to the Clients tab.
  4. Follow the steps to fill out and submit your W-9.

Check out this article for the next steps: Fill out a W-9 and view your 1099-MISC in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I think the directions in the linked article were the ticket. Thanks very much!
