I've already filed my 2019 taxes, how can I get QB to bypass 2019 questions?

Within the past few hours, I created my QB Self Employed account. Among other issues, I cannot find a way to bypass QB asking me for 2019 tax info. I've filed and completed my 2019 taxes already and am wanting to use QB for 2020 accounting and beyond. How can I tell QB my taxes are done and lets move on?

Hello there, bparks1.

We can run some troubleshooting steps to bypass the section where you're being asked to re-enter your tax info.

Let's start by using an incognito window. This type of window doesn't store any historical files that help the page to load without issues.

If you're able to skip the tax info section, we can go back to a regular window and then clear its cache. A piled cache can also be the reason why we encounter unexpected issues on the pages we've opened.

We also have the option to switch to a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari.

Afterward, you're good to track your transactions for 2020.

Please let me know if you still need help. I've got you covered!

I'm not running into any issues entering info for 2020. The problem is there is a Tax Checklist that is only referring to 2019 taxes, as shown in the screenshot attached. When I click on the Taxes tab, it automatically brings me to 2019 taxes.

I appreciate the screenshot, @bparks1.

I'm glad to know that you've already completed and filed your 2019 taxes. Let me provide clarification on why you can still view the 2019 tax questions on your checklist.

This is just a way to remind the users of what they need to do before the due date. Since you've already finished everything, you can disregard the checklist. Our Engineers are already aware of this and will remove the tax questions after the said date.

If you haven't used Turbo Tax for your tax preparation, you can check out this guide for more information: Send your tax info to TurboTax Online (Self-Employed or Live).

I'm just a post away if you need anything. Your success will always be my priority. Cheering you to a fantastic weekend!
