I want to set up paying a garnishment with each paycheck. What account will the money go to so i can pay it from that account?

Thanks for choosing QuickBooks Online as your accounting software. I can help you know which account the money will go for the payment of the Garnishment.

 

After setting up the Garnishment on your employee's profile, you can go to your Payroll Preferences to verify the account associated.

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Payroll Settings.
  3. Click Preferences.
  4. Select Accounting Preferences.
  5. Go to Bank account section to get the information needed.
