Hello there,Neal-mrstik. There isn't a specific suspend option for payroll in QuickBooks Online. You can either keep the subscription active or cancel it.
When a payroll subscription is cancelled, QuickBooks stops its automated tax payments and form filings. If you have taxes owed in the future or forms that haven't been sent yet, you'll have to manually file them.
Because of this, most folks find it much smoother to keep the service running through the end of a quarter. It lets the software handle the heavy lifting for you, so everything stays compliant and organized.
If you decide that cancelling is the best path for now, be sure to leave your bank account open until we debit and pay those tax liabilities. These liabilities will be paid at the time we process your cancellation form. I also recommend downloading your payroll report and tax form for future purposes.
