I can see that you wanted to subscribe to QuickBooks Self-Employed and avail the 50% discount. If you've opted for the 30-day trial before, you will be billed the full amount upon activating your subscription and won't be eligible for any discount.
You can create a new account from another email address to purchase a new subscription with a discount.
I've added this QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview with helpful info on some basic FAQs.
If you have other questions, please leave a comment and I'd be happy to help.
Did you click the Buy button or try purchasing from the trial account?

Thank you! It would be really great to have known it was either the 30 day trial or the discount! I wanted to see if it was something I would use. Now I’ve spent hours importing all of my transactions into the trial account and to get the discount, I have to start over. Bummer.
I appreciate the quick response!
