If i turn off auto tax payment can i make that payment on the monday after payroll was run on friday? and can i do it though QuickBooks?

We're unable to make manual payments on a Monday if payroll was run on Friday, mjl2956. Allow me to explain this further.

 

In QuickBooks, you can deactivate automated taxes and forms if there are no outstanding payroll or tax payments for that specific period.

 

If you haven't run your payroll yet, you may turn off this feature and make manual payments on a Monday to record payroll taxes in your account. You can follow these steps to disable automatic taxes:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then choose Payroll Settings.
  2. Click on the Pencil icon in the Taxes and Forms section.
  3. Clear the Automate taxes and forms checkbox.
  4. Then, select how you plan on making your tax payments and filings.
  5. Once done, click Save and Done.
