If quickbooks is one hour behind my central standard time spring forward computer clock how do i get pass not allowing me to set up direct deposit?

I'm here to share some information about setting up company payroll for direct deposit, mgbrunk.

To help ensure that I provide the best resolution, can you provide me the exact error message you received upon trying to set up direct deposit (if ever you encountered one)?

QuickBooks has no time restrictions when setting up direct deposit. Before we can use this feature, we’ll have to set up your payroll bank account first. In addition, direct deposit requires a US bank account that is set up for ACH transactions.

Please know that it can take 1-3 banking days to get your checking account set up for direct deposit. Once done, you'll use this account to pay your employees and your payroll taxes. You can follow the steps below in deactivating the direct deposit:

  1. Select Employees from the top menu bar.
  2. Choose My Payroll Services.
  3. Select Activate Direct Deposit.
  4. Complete and review the form, then click View Agreement.
  5. Tick the I have read and agree to the terms of service agreement checkbox.
  6. Answer the questions provided in the Check Security Limits section.
  7. Select Submit (If nothing happens after selecting Submit, remove all the information on the form including the information from the Edit links. Then, let's manually re-enter the information and select Submit again.)
  8. Follow the on-screen instruction.
  9. Hit Return to QuickBooks.

After this process, Intuit will conduct two small transactions to verify your bank account, a deposit and a withdrawal of an amount less than $1.00. Then, we'll have to look for this small transaction in your bank statement and enter the amount in QuickBooks Desktop. Please know that this process could take up to 2 banking days before we can view those transactions in your bank account.

I recommend checking out this article to learn more about this process: Set up direct deposit. It also contains the instructions on how to set up your employees’ bank account information and pay your employees with direct deposit.

If there's anything else I can help with, please don't hesitate to come back to this thread. We'll take care of you.
