I am trying to import payroll data/transactions from Accounting CS into Quickbooks so I don't need to re-enter 9 months of data. I was able to export the transactions out of Accounting CS and generated a file with an extension qbw.qbexportdata and now I'm trying to figure out how to import that data in to Quickbooks.
The Quickbooks file I have is a brand new file I just created so there isn't any data to worry about overwriting. I tried the Utilities > Import > and it isn't an IIF or Web Connect file.
I tried changing the extension to be just .qbw and tried to open it that way but can't.
I tried calling QB support and got no help there either.
Export your data out to XLS/CSV and prepare them with the following template
RefNumber | Transaction Date | Account | Debit | Credit | Memo | Name | Class | Billable | Is Adjustment | Currency | Exchange Rate | Home Currency Adjustment | Amounts in Home Currency |
1 | 27/09/2020 | Checking | 130 | PR 092518 | John Smith | N | N
1 | 27/09/2020 | Wages | 200 | PR 092518 | John Smith | N | N
1 | 27/09/2020 | Payroll Taxes Payable | 50 | PR 092518 | John Smith | N | N
1 | 27/09/2020 | Health Insurance Payable | 20 | PR 092518 | John Smith | N | N |
Then utilize the trial period of these importer tool to import data as Journal Entries
