We can lump sum the enter trip from last year. We just need to add the trip then enter the miles from last year.
Though, we can track mileage automatically. All you have to do is turn on the app and let QuickBooks work on it.
For additional information on this, I recommend the following article: Use automatic mileage tracking for QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Also, for additional insight about how to manually add mileage in the mobile app you can click that link.

can you please explain further how to add a lump sum of business mileage? Did you mean to create just a single trip with what date? and add the total miles for the year in the distance so there is only one mileage trip listed?

Thanks for your reply, @rosenic12.
At this time, you can only input a single date for a trip and not a date range in QuickBooks Self-Employed. I'm going to submit feedback to our Product Development Team about bringing in a feature that will allow a date range. You can visit our Blog to see what new to our products and what's coming in the future.
In the meantime, you can put the date range in the Trip purpose along with any other details. For more information about the Mileage tab, click here.
Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I'm always here if you need me. Have a beautiful day!
