Is there a way to show a direct deposit payment on the last month? I make contractor payments last day of month, and would like to show the Cost of Good Sold same month.

Note direct deposit does not occur until next business day which is why it shows up on next month.

I've got all the details you need about direct deposits in QuickBooks, @bob-quandt.

Yes, there's a way to reflect Direct Deposits (DD) on the last month. You can request a same-day funding time online. This way, you're able to show the Cost of Goods Sold the same month for your contractor payments.

I know the steps needed to achieve this. Let me guide you how:

  1. Click this link: Request DD funding time.
  2. Go to the Faster Funding Requests section and click the Add New Request link.
  3. Fill out all the info needed.

Please see the screenshot below for a visual guide:

I'll be adding this handy article for more information about this: Change DD funding time.

Also, you can contact our QuickBooks Online Payroll support team for further assistance. They have more tools to help you achieve the said task.

You can always lean on me if you have more DD concerns. I'll be here to help you.
