Missing payroll deduction in employee profile

I have an employee that has a Simple IRA deduction taken every payday. He has asked me to discontinue this deduction. It shows on his paycheck as a deduction, but it isn't listed in his deductions where I need to discontinue it. How is this possible? How do I fix it? I've tried to call so I can talk to someone but apparently there isn't anyone available via phone?? Help please!

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for some assistance about your employee's deductions within their profile. Let's verify the steps you did take to try to locate and delete the deduction for your employee. 

 

Intuit Online Payroll/Intuit Online Payroll Accountants

 

  1. Go to Employees. Choose the name of the employee. 
  2. Press Edit in the Deductions & Contribution portion. 
  3. Tap the trash bin icon. Hit remove to confirm the deletion. 

 

QuickBooks Online Payroll

 

  1. Go to the Workers or Payroll tab. 
  2. Pick Employees
  3. Select the name of the employee. 
  4. Click the Edit (Pencil) icon beside Pay under the Employee details. 
  5. Next to the deduction item, tap the Edit (Pencil) icon. 
  6. Press the trash bin icon. 
  7. Hit Yes to confirm. 

 

 

If you've already tried these steps and are unable to find the deduction item, then I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They'll have additional tools to look further into your account to see what's causing this to occur. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Help icon. 
  2. Click the Contact Us button. 
  3. Give a brief description of the issue and press Let's Talk
  4. Scroll down and choose to Get a call

I have tried all of those steps. (This payroll was setup by a former employee) Thanks for your response. I'll reach out to Customer Support again and hope I hear back.

I still haven't received any communication from QB about my issue. Since this is payroll related, it is now critical that I get this resolved. PLEASE tell me how to fix this!

Thanks for reaching back out to the Community. The best way to get this deduction to appear again would be by contacting our Customer Support Team. I know that you've already tried the Get a callback feature, but you can also do the same steps as provided above by me and choose to Start a chat
