Buy now & saveAlthough there isn't a straightforward solution to prevent employees from turning off their phones to bypass geofencing, you can reinforce a policy by communicating that this behavior is unacceptable while on the clock, Chip17. Let me share inputs about this.
In QuickBooks Workforce, when employees disable location services or turn off their phones during work hours, they will be prompted to turn these back on. Once they're active again, their devices will sync, and GPS points will display.
Thus, if their devices are off, QuickBooks can only track time, not their locations. With this, it's best to implement guidelines and inform employees that such actions aren't acceptable during shift hours.
To ensure your employees are unable to turn their locations off, let's set the GPS permissions to Required. This way, the employee will be clocked out when they turn their location services off while clocked in and will be prompted to turn it back on. Here's how:
Moreover, you can create a spreadsheet that lists the latitude and longitude information to track their specific locations:
You can also scan this guide for more detailed information: Use geofencing in QuickBooks Time.
Furthermore, you can modify your account's settings and permissions to allow team members to manage their time and track timesheets for accuracy.

Tell your employees not to turn off their phones.
I mean obviously? I should probably tell them to show up to work on time too? anyways, my question has been answered, QuickBooks does not have a solution for this problem.
Yes, it is obvious that QuickBooks can't stop employees from turning off their phones, or stop their phones from shutting down due to a low battery. Or make your employees show up, or do their jobs. Software can't do any of those things. Management has to.
