Thanks for your posting your concern in the community. Sometimes, QuickBooks Desktop can't successfully connect to the internet. This will cause issues when updating. This may be because there are incorrect browser and security settings in place, or an application such as an antivirus or firewall program is interfering with the update.
To fix this, open a default browser. You should also check if you can access other websites.
- Download and run the TLS 1.2 Utility.
- Verify that Internet Explorer is the default browser, and if you are using any other web browser as your default.
- Verify you're able to access secure websites outside of QuickBooks Desktop, such as the sign-in page of you financial institution.
