Thank you for visiting us here in the Community, @info1159.

We can review the submitted forms to check if there's payable or balance and double-check the paycheck if the tax is deducted. I'll guide you how:

  1. Go to Taxes from the left menu.
  2. Select Payroll Tax.
  3. Select Quarterly Forms or Annual Forms, as appropriate.
  4. Choose the desired form.
  5. Click View and Print Archived Forms
  6. Choose View.

Also, the Pay taxes option shows depend on the version of payroll you're using. That being said, if you're using the Full, Core, Premium, or Elite Payroll services, Intuit prepares and pay your 941 taxes to the IRS on behalf of your company. But, if you subscribe to QuickBooks Online Payroll or Intuit Online Payroll, you can go to the Tasks page or To Do list on your Homepage. This is another step to view payments and other activities.

If the above steps don't work, we can try accessing QBO via a private browser. This doesn't keep files in its cache and saves the pages you have visited and it's a good place to check for browser issue.

To use a private browser, here's how:

  • For Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once logged in, go back and try to pay your taxes again to double-check. For more guidance, feel free to check out this article: Pay payroll taxes electronically or manually.

If this works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to be thorough.

I'll add this article to see steps on how to pay taxes electronically in Online Payroll: Pay payroll taxes electronically or manually.

You also may find this article handy for reference on pulling up Payroll Tax Liability Report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Keep me posted if you have additional questions about payroll or any other concerns about QuickBooks. I'll be around to help you. Wishing you and your business continued success!

I am having the same problem.  Ever since quickbooks went down on the 15th of Sept. I have not been able to pay my payroll taxes after I run payroll because they do not show up to process thru epay until several days later when they are late.

  5. Choose a channel where you want to engage with our live support.

Lastly, I've got you this helpful article to learn more about a new method to pay your employees: Use Auto Payroll to pay your employees.
