Thanks for letting me know about the deduction your getting, @macspest.

We’re constantly working on improvements and new features to provide you the best experience with QuickBooks Online. We want to deliver the best product, value, and experience to our customers, which means investing in the latest innovation and technology.

Also, here are the possible reasons for your payroll deduction:

  • You had promotional discounts that have expired, so you are now being billed the regular price for your subscription.
  • You turned on merchant account service or Go Payment.
  • You saw a charge from the pre-authorization process for credit cards (usually $.50 difference with real charges) - these drop off your statement within a few days.

You can check the charges by reviewing detailed information on your subscription rates in QuickBooks Online.

  1. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Account and Settings.
  2. Select Billing Subscription.

In case you want to reduce your billing cost in QuickBooks, I recommend contacting our Support Team. They can pull up your account in a secure environment and provides discounts to reduce your deduction.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu then select Contact us.
  2. Enter the keyword of your concern in the What can we help you with? box.
  3. After adding some insight, tick on the Let's talk button.
  4. Lastly, select the Get a callback button to arrange a call from them.
  5. You can also click Start messaging to initiate a discussion with a live agent.

You can check out this article for our most updated contact information: Support hours and types.

I've added these articles to learn more about your subscription and charges:

You can also visit our plan and pricing page to see the lists of plans and features that best suit your business needs in case you'll want to downgrade or upgrade your plan.

Let me know how this goes and post a reply below if you need further assistance about managing your QuickBooks account. I'm always here to help. Have a good one.
