My QB Self-Employed Dashboard keeps showing the following prompt. I have completed/saved, but it keeps showing: Married or single? Your tax forms want to know.

I even tried clearing my browser's cookies and cache, but it is still showing. It appears to be a bug in the app.

Allow me to share additional troubleshooting options to resolve this prompt showing on your QuickBooks Self-employed mobile app.

 

Since you've tried clearing your browser, let's try clearing the app's data this time. This will refresh the application and eliminate common issues causing the inability to delete invoices. 

 

Clearing the app's data can be done on the app or on your phone settings.
 

  • For QuickBooks mobile app:
    • Android - Select the menu at the top right and choose Settings. Then select Refresh Data and choose Yes.
    • iOS - Select the menu at the top right and then choose Help & Feedback. Then select Refresh Data and Refresh.

  • In your Phone Settings:
    • Android - From your phone's settings, select Apps (varies by device). Choose the QuickBooks app from the list and select Storage. Select clear data.
    • iOS - From your phone's settings, select Settings, then, click on General and choose iPhone Storage. Select an app that's taking up a lot of space. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, select Offload App.

Hi,

Thank you for replying to my question. I should have mentioned that I am using the online version on my desktop computer. I did try the "refresh data" on the Android app just in case though. I went back to the online version of QB Self-Employed, but the message is still there.

  1. Open your QBSE account on a web browser.
  2. Click Assistant at the top, and then type Talk to a human.
  3. Select your preferred support method: Message an agent (live chat), or Get a callback.

 

QuickBooks Online

 

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  3. Look for I still need a human and click on it.
  4. Click Get help from a human or Contact Support Team.
  5. Select between Send a message, Schedule an appointment, or Get a callback.

Thank you for your help! I contacted an agent via chat. We reviewed my tax information and verified that it was all completed and done correctly. It sounds like this prompt will stay on my dashboard until at least April 18th - then it should go away. I just don't like that it keeps prompting me when I have already completed it. It is obviously a bug in the system that needs to be addressed.
