on line tax payments

I am trying to make tax payments through quickbooks as i have been doing in the past but i am getteing message - you hve not checked for payroll updates, but i have updated numerous times and have verified as well as have installed th latest version 2021 but still i am gettig the same message and am not able to make any tax payment s as well as run new payroll.

Let me get the help you need about payroll.

 

Last October 1, 2020, there was a payroll update 22016 that was released. In this tax table update, it includes the following:

  • This tax table has a new tax tracking type to support the deferral of the employee portion of social security tax, as defined in the Presidential Memorandum Deferring the Employee Portion of Social Security Tax.
  • This tax table includes a new federal payroll item to help employers defer the employee portion of social security tax, as defined in the Presidential Memorandum Deferring the Employee Portion of Social Security Tax.

As for the e-File and Pay Update, there are no changes made. 

 

To isolate the issue, as to why you're still getting the error message. Let's ensure that you've downloaded the latest payroll tax table update

 

Here's what you'll need to do:

  1. Go to the Employees menu at the top.
  2. Tap Get Payroll Updates.
  3. Choose the Download Entire Update box.
  4. Pick Download Latest Update. A window will appear when the download is complete.

If you didn't enable Auto-Update, close and re-open QuickBooks after downloading tax table updates, so the installation process will be complete.
