1) Why do payroll checks processed through online payroll download into my QB desktop as non-payroll transactions? These payroll checks are shown under Employee Center, Transactions, Permitted Non-Payroll Transactions.
2) When opening up the "Check" inside of the register to print, it only shows the employees name. Does not include the address. I must select a different name and then select the correct name for the address to populate.
Thank you for posting in the Community. I'm here to provide information about your payroll concern in QuickBooks Desktop.
I need to ask some questions to make sure I can answer them thoroughly. Can you confirm if you're trying to migrate payroll data from Online to the Desktop version? Any additional information you could provide would be a great help.
There are export limitations when exporting transaction data to QuickBooks Desktop. Paychecks turning to regular checks is one of it.

I am using Intuit Online payroll every two weeks and importing into Quickbook pro following Intuits instructions.. I am under the assumption since both programs come from Intuit that they would be compatible.
The 2 issues that I am having is..
1) When printing the payroll check, the address field does not populate. The work around is to select a different name and then reselect the correct name. This populates the address box in the check.
2) The payroll data imports into the NON-payroll section of the employee instead of the payroll section.
