Our state unemployment tax period ended 3/31. However, when I go to record as payment, I only get the message: "It’s not yet time to make this tax payment." What do I do?

In the past, this feature has worked seamlessly. For this quarter, our other federal and state taxes have already been processed without issue. But I don't know why it won't allow me to move forward with our unemployment tax payment and I am struggling to receive support.

Due to COVID-19, we have limited expert support staff and reduced our support hours that's the reason you encountered struggling to connect with our support.

 

For your other concern, I suggest logging in your QuickBooks account using a private browser. This way, you'll see if you get the same result. And, to verify if the issue is caused by a full cache. This might be also the reason to received unusual message when recording a tax payment.

 

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using. 

 

  • For Internet Explorer of Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

 

If it works in incognito, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. You can check this article to see the steps: How do I clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files?.

 

If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as alternatives.
