Payroll Cancellation since i am not doing payroll in 2019 for this company? How do I stop emails and billing?

I have cancelled Payroll on the subscription I have for SM Manager, LLC but I keep receiving emails to do payroll and I just received a new billing for payroll for last week when I did not run a payroll.

Can I have someone call me to discuss how to stop billing and payroll emails?

Thanks for getting this to our attention, Larry Covington,

It's sad to see you go but I want to make sure your payroll subscription gets canceled.

Let's try checking your QBO Accounts and Settings to see if your service is successfully terminated. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Log in as the Company Administrator or Master Administrator.
  2. Click the Gear icon.
  3. Choose Account and Settings.
  4. From the left panel select Billing & Subscription. If you don't see the Billing & Subscription tab, that means you are not signed in as the Master Administrator or Company Administrator of the account.
  5. Go to the Payroll section, view the Subscription status.
  6. If it is still showing Subscribed, click the Cancel link.
  7. Select Continue to cancel.
  8. Complete the short survey and select Confirm cancel.

You may want to check this article for more information about canceling your QuickBooks Online Payroll account: Cancel your Intuit Online Payroll and QuickBooks Online Payroll services

However, if the service is already discontinued in QuickBooks but still getting payroll alerts or billing notices, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Payroll Support Team. They have the resources to view your account and update your subscription details in a secure environment.

You can get our updated contact information here: https://payroll.intuit.com/support/contact/?infosrc=qs&service=64

Please let  me know how this goes, Larry Covington. I'm here if you need further assistance. Have a great day!

So, if I don't upgrade to QB 2019 my payroll service will just cancel?  I need to cancel this service and the link to customer service was broken.

Thanks for joining this conversation, pplumb2.

Let me help review your QuickBooks Desktop, and cancel your payroll subscription.

First, I'd like to share that QuickBooks Desktop has a discontinuation policy. This means that older versions like QuickBooks Desktop 2016 (Pro, Premier, Enterprise Solutions, Accountant Edition, and Mac) will no longer have access to add-on services after May 31, 2019. Payroll subscription is one of the affected services.

You're right that access to QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Services will be discontinued. Your file will continue to work, but you won't be able to use Intuit services that can be integrated with QuickBooks Desktop.

If you change your mind, want to explore options or have any problems canceling, please contact us. We’re here to help you day and night. Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop and click Help at the top.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help or press F1 on your keyboard.
  3. On the Have a Question? screen, scroll down and select the QuickBooks Support.
  4. Enter a topic and click Search.
  5. Click the Start a Message button.

You can also get the Payroll contact information through this link:

  1. Go to: http://payroll.intuit.com/support/contact/ and choose your payroll type.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Click on the Chat with us link.

The screenshots show these steps as well.

As always, you can check this article on how to cancel payroll: Cancel Your QuickBooks Payroll Subscription.

That should get you back on track.

I'd appreciate if you can update me on how it goes. I'm right here if there's anything else you need. Have a cheerful day.
