Join nowI just ran my first payroll after converting from Desktop to On line. There were a variety of disasters but the main one right now is the taxes for this year are totally messed up. Before conversion, I was completely up to date and everything balanced. After conversion I got an email from Quickbooks stating 41 checks had been generated (I only have 13 employees and only 10 were paid this time). And the email stated I owe many times what I've already paid. When I go to the paycheck list, it shows just the checks I generated. What the heck is going on? Anyone have any ideas? I'm ready to toss this crappy software out and go back to desk top.
There are some instructions on fixing errors here https://community.intuit.com/articles/1774704-convert-quickbooks-desktop-file-to-quickbooks-online as well as a caution against converting IF you turned on payroll in the online version before conversion
And with only 4 pay periods in December left for the year I would continue to do at least just your payroll in desktop.
