To check why you got a charge after canceling your Payroll Subscription requires pulling up your account which we are unable to do it here in the Community. Your security is my top priority, and I don't want your private information to be exposed to this public forum.
That being said, I highly suggest contacting our Phone Support team. They have tools that can pull up your account in a secure environment and verify the charges. They can also process a refund for you.
1. On your QBO account, click the Help (question mark) icon at the top right corner.
2. Select Contact Us at the bottom to connect with our support.
