Payroll tax payment schedule not correct.

Hello there krbent108

Let me help you with the payroll tax payment schedule!

It could be that the setup of the tax payment schedule was monthly instead of quarterly. Let’s go ahead and check the deposit schedule of the 941 taxes.

Here’s how:

  1. Click Taxes on the left navigation panel.
  2. Select the Payroll Tax tab.
  3. Click the link Edit your tax setup.
  4. Under the Federal Tax Information, you should see the Filing & Deposit Requirements.

If it’s showing monthly as the deposit schedule, you can review the Pay Taxes button to see the taxes that wasn’t paid yet.

  1. Click Taxes on the left navigation panel.
  2. Select the Payroll Tax tab.
  3. Click the Pay Taxes button.

If you wish to change the 941 deposit schedule, you can follow these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.
  2. Under Settings, click Payroll Settings.
  3. Under Taxes, click Federal Taxes.
  4. Click Change or add a new schedule.
  5. Look for your old tax deposit schedule and click Delete
  6. Select the new filing and deposit schedule, and select an effective date.
  7. Click OK.

Payroll tax payment schedule not correct.

With the new Payroll Core, you don't have that choice.  I have been doing QB Self Service Payroll since 8/2014 and get a choice to let QB do our bi-weekly deposit for 941 or I manually pay.  Now with QB Online Payroll Core you don't have that chose.  According to QB they do the withdrawal, when they choose.  They state they are going by IRS rules, but I called the IRS and they stated that if you pay your employees on Friday, you do not pay your bi-weekly payment for 941 until Wednesday.  QB is now taking my payments out of Monday.  I really need some feed back on this.  They only way it will change if I pay QB more with QB Premium with cost more!  I believe if the IRS is giving us some extra days to pay, so should QB.

Payroll tax payment schedule not correct.

Hello there, @callrtc.

Once you have set up E-Pay, QuickBooks process your payments at least two banking days. If you'll pay later than Monday the payments will be late.

QuickBooks have a specific daily cut off time for processing deposits. Once you have set up E-Pay, we process your payments at least two banking days.

If you pay later than Monday the payments will be late the timeliness of a deposit is determined by the date it's received.
