Re: Payroll taxes are not withholding following upgrade to 2019
Let's do one last to update to fix this, WTRElectric.
After upgrading your QuickBooks version, you'd also have to update your payroll. This update has to be manually done to ensure that you're on the latest tax table version.
Click Employees at the top.
Select Get Payroll Updates at the bottom.
Select the radio button for Download entire payroll updates.
Click the Update button.
Wait for the update to complete, and then click OK.
If you've tried this and got the same result, then there's one reason that comes into my mind which might have caused this. Probably, the taxes were over-withheld on your last payroll run and that's why they are not calculating. To check if this applies, you can review the Payroll Summary report.
But if only a few employees are affected, then you can revert their paychecks to fix this.
At the top menu, click Employees and select Payroll Center.
Go to the payroll that you're working on. (Start Scheduled Payroll or Pay Employees)
Right-click on the employee's name that didn't calculate correctly (employee's name highlighted in yellow), and select Revert Paycheck.
Click Open Paycheck Detail to re-enter the payroll information.
