When filing taxes you'll need to make sure that your E-Service status is still active. It could be that the setting was changed which can be the reason you're unable to file it electronically.
You can follow these steps:
- Click the Gear icon and select Payroll Settings.
- Go to the Electronic Services or E-file and E-pay tab.
- Below Electronic Services (E-Services) Enrollment, check the status of the Federal E-Pay & E-File.
If it's still active, verify the taxes that you want to process. Know that overdue taxes can't be filed electronically. You'll need to reach out to your agency to pay/file them.
