Payroll warning alert

How do I find out what information is missing? Nothing has changed from when I did the last payroll in 2019 to now.

I am getting this Warning in the QB desktop employee center:

"QuickBooks does not have the information required to complete amounts for paychecks dated __/__/2020. If you create or edit paychecks you will need to verify and correct all paycheck amounts manually."

It pops up when I open an employee in the employee center, it pops up again if I click on Taxes,  it pops up when the Other tab is selected within taxes, and it pops up again when I close Taxes.

How do I find out what information is missing?

Payroll warning alert

Thanks for visiting the Community, Bex77.

The payroll warning alert can be fixed by running the reboot.file. This process will re-register the DLL's required by QuickBooks. Let me walk you through how.

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Go to the folder containing the reboot.bat file:
    1. Right-click the QuickBooks Desktop icon on your desktop.
    2.  Click Properties.
    3. Click Open file location.
  3. Right-click the reboot.bat file & select Run as Administrator. Once the file utility is completed, restart your computer.

After that, go back to your employee center and check if you're still getting the alert.

If you still encounter the alert, please run the verify and rebuild data in QuickBooks Desktop. The verify data will self-identifies the known data issues while the rebuild data will self-resolves the data integrity issues.

Please drop a comment below if you have other payroll concerns. I'll be around to help. Take care.
