There are a few reasons why withholding taxes are not calculating in QuickBooks Desktop. It's either the annualized salary of that specific employee exceeds the salary limit or the gross wage of the employee is too low.
Once done, you can now revert the paycheck. On your Enter Payroll Information screen, just right-click on your mouse the name highlighted in yellow then choose Revert Paycheck. This is to refresh your payroll information and for the taxes to calculate.
