Payroll YTD Not Updating

I utilize Quickbooks Online Payroll Core.  Just finished setting up employees and all payroll related items.  Ran a preliminary payroll to preview & all appeared well, even the YTD Pay, except I noticed 1 employee's state tax was incorrect.  Had to delete the employee and re-enter to correct.  Re-ran the preliminary payroll to preview and all appeared well except the YTD Pay didn't capture or update what I had entered for each employee.

Thoughts?  Do I need to delete all employees and start over?

Thanks,
Jason

Payroll YTD Not Updating

Yes, it will appear after your first payroll. If after you run your payroll you still don't see that option reach back out to support. They may have to double check your payroll settings to ensure everything is added correctly.

Payroll YTD Not Updating

Good morning, @Adavico.

I hope that you're enjoying your Thursday so far.

I recommend clearing the cache from your browser. Web browsers collect cache (cookies) to save you time when loading repetitive data and images. These files can often become outdated or corrupted, causing issues like the one with your payroll YTD not being correct. Below I've included links for all supported browsers that contain steps for clearing cache.

Once the cache is cleared, close the web browser and restart it. Sign back into QuickBooks to see a fresh copy of the data.

If this doesn't work for you, I recommend contacting our payroll support team as they have the tools to check your account in a secure environment to see where the issue is lying.

You can always reach out to the Community or me anytime you find you have questions or concerns. I'll be happy to lend you a helping hand in getting you back to business. Have an excellent rest of your day. You certainly deserve it!

Payroll YTD Not Updating

Yes, the Payroll Support team was able to resolve this issue, but now I have another question.

I have Quickbooks Online Payroll Core and am trying to set-up e-pay & e-file.   Received a confirmation email of completing enrollment, but wonder when I will need to enter the EFTPS/state filing passwords.  Where do I go to do this?

Thanks,
Jason

Payroll YTD Not Updating

Hey, Adavico.

Thank you for reaching back out. There is no need to update anything from our side. To change the EFTPS password in QuickBooks, the modification can be made on the EFTPS site. This change of EFTPS Internet Password automatically reflects in QBO. You only need to authorize QuickBooks to pay taxes and file the tax forms on your behalf. Here is how:

  1. Click on Taxes from the navigation bar on the left.
  2. Select Payroll Tax option.
  3. Next, click on the Edit your e-file and e-pay setup link.
  4. Select the E-file and e-pay and enter the states you want to enroll for tax filing.
  5. If automatic bank connection option is prompted, follow those to connect bank automatically.

We're here if there's any other concerns.

Thanks for the instruction.  After following Steps 1 & 2, I don't have the option to select Step 3.  Do I need to run a payroll first before Step 3 will appear?
