Port Employee Data from Intuit Online to Enterprise
Hello, We bought a running business In US and the seller was using intuit online software for running payroll (outsourcing to intuit), we have the Intuit Enterprise Desktop version and were wondering on the best possible way to import employee data for payroll. How do we go about doing that? Do we need the sellers permission? seller can he get a file and pass it on to us and then we upload it? is this even possible?

If you can access the seller's Intuit Online Payroll account, then you can export the payroll data, Bajwa74.
When you export the data into QuickBooks, one transaction is created per paycheck in your check register. The transactions are split into different accounts based on your export preferences.
The first step before exporting the payroll data is to change the settings of your accounting software preferences. This is to choose QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise as the location of the export process.
Log in to the Intuit Online Payroll account.
Click the Setup tab, and then select the Preferences link below the Export section.
Select QuickBooks for Windows (IIF) from the software drop down list, and then select Next.
On the Checking Account box, enter the name of the bank account exactly as it appears in QuickBooks.
Click the Customize button in the lower right-corner to enter the account names exactly as they appear in QuickBooks.
Enter the classes, if you use any, and then select I will print paychecks using QuickBooks.
Once done, you can now export the paycheck list:
Click the Payday tab, and then select Paycheck List.
Select the paychecks to export.
Click the Export button to generate the file.
Open the file in your Downloads folder.
The very last step is to import the downloaded file into your Desktop account:
Open your QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
Click File at the top, select Utilities, Import, and then select IIF files.
