Join nowi am trying to figure out why QB keeps charging me for a $12 multi state charge for online billing when i only legally file with one state. I have an employee whos billing address is in a different state and QB online is assuming we have to file with this state, which legally we are not obligated to. how do i keep QB form charging me? i can not get cusomer serivce to help me and credit back prior months billing.
per my billing terms generated thru QB online "The service includes 1 state filing. If you file taxes in more than one state, each additional state is $12/month for only Core and Premium."
we do not file in multiple states. i need help please, QB is charging me for a service that is not being provided or completed as we are not legally obligated to file.

Thanks, but i already did this and this was the response i got
Yes I do understand that you do not file taxes in multiple states, but since you have an employees living in Kansas, quickbooks automatically charges you for Multi state taxes.
supposedly the charge has been removed, but i cannot get refunded for prior months. i guess i just paid for something that i did not need to when i started QB online this year.
