QBOFSP: how to pay my salaried employees from March 2019/ one month at a time because we are low in funds?

I just switched from FSP to QBFSP. This will be my first payroll with QB but I need to take care of the past payroll as I postponed until our Accounts Receivables are paid. Can somebody help me? Or should I go back to FSP and use the Unscheduled Payroll?

Thanks for providing detailed information about your concern, 2017ops1.

You can continue paying your salaried employees using Unscheduled Payroll in FSP to avoid manual entry in QBOFSP. Here’s how:

  1. Click Create unscheduled checks from the Home page.
  2. Pick a Pay schedule, then hit Next.
  3. Select the appropriate option and click Next.
  4. Confirm the Pay period and Paycheck date.
  5. Choose all the employees for this payroll and enter employee compensation.
  6. Hit Preview Payroll, then Submit payroll.

Follow the same steps until you finish issuing checks. This should take care of your payroll from March 2019 to present.

For the detailed steps, take a look at this article: Create Unscheduled Payroll Checks

To start using QBOFSP for payroll processing, I recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team for assistance in entering historical paychecks. This way, you’ll be guided on the transferring of data and helping you set up.
