Hi there, jay56.

With QuickBooks Online Payroll, you can update your Employer Identification Number anytime.

Here's how to correct it with an Enhanced plan:
1. Use your Gear (⚙️) icon, then go to Payroll Settings.
2. Under Taxes, choose Federal Taxes or State Taxes.
3. Enter the correct EIN and select OK.

Now your business information will be up-to-date. Other details, such as legal business names, doing business as titles, and filing addresses can also be updated.

For any of our other QBO payroll plans:

  • If your company underwent an entity change, or an invalid number was entered and payments have already been made, you'll need to update your FEIN with our IFSP/QBFSP change process.
  • In the event a number was incorrectly entered and no tax payments have been made, contact payroll support.

Intuit's Customer Care Team can be contacted while you're signed in:
1. Click the Help (?) icon.
2. Choose Contact Us.
3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.
4. You'll be presented with a few options for connecting with Intuit. Select Start messaging or Get a call.

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a great day!
