Quickbooks Online and Intuit Online Payroll

Can I use QBO to input employees time for tracking purposes and still use Intuit Online Payroll to actually run Payroll?

Quickbooks Online and Intuit Online Payroll

Thanks for choosing QuickBooks as your accounting partner, @Anonymous.

Yes, you can surely do that. However, to avoid more charges, choose either QBO to track your employees time and subscribe to its payroll or Intuit Online Payroll alone. Let me differentiate the two to help you decide what payroll service fits your business size and needs.

Intuit Online Payroll (IOP) is a standalone payroll and can work with or without QuickBooks. On the other hand, you have to subscribe to QBO so you can use its payroll subscription. For in-depth information, you can check this article: IOP vs QBOP Overview.

I'm adding here the link about exporting IOP data to QuickBooks Online (QBO) in case you want to try it.

Let me know which option you prefer, DP2019. Please know that I'm still here to help you further if you have additional questions. Have a wonderful day!
