Good to see you here, MV01.
I'm here to ensure you're able to export payroll data from QuickBooks Online to Desktop for Mac.
In preparing your transactions in a spreadsheet file, make sure that the items on it match the template on QuickBooks. This way, you'll be able to export them successfully.
To send your payroll data to QBDT for Mac, you'll have to manually export your file from QBO. Then, import them to your QBDT for the Mac company file. While doing this, I suggest downloading and using import kits so you can easier transfer data to and from different platforms to better manage company records in QuickBooks.
Before you import, I encourage you to back up your company file for future use. Then, know the IIF import limitations to smoothly execute the process.
Once you're ready to import your IIF payroll data, please follow the steps below:
- Sign in to your company file as an admin.
- Go to the File menu.
- Choose Import.
- Select From IIF Files and export your IIF file.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the procedure.
I also added this article: Run payroll reports. This will show you the list of available reports in QuickBooks Online Payroll and how to pull up them.
Please feel free to add a comment below if you have any other questions about exporting payroll data in QuickBooks. I'm always here to help. Keep safe!
