Hi tamarade. If you do not see the form in the spot my colleague Catherine_B mentioned, then you likely have not filed the form yet or did not e-file with us.
Follow this article to e-file the 940. After you do that, follow the steps that she had mentioned above and the form will appear.
We have Intuit Assisted Payroll and I can't find our 940 form for 2019 that Intuit filed. It's not in the list of filed forms with the 941's. We are a 501c3 charity. Are we exempt from filing form 940?
Hello CES3,
Regarding with the Intuit Assisted Payroll subscribers, it'd be best to contact our Payroll Support Team. They can pull up and review your account. Also, they have the tools to determine what happened and find the 940 form for 2019.
You can always get back to us if you have additional questions about this.

i need help with a 941 for 2020 emplorers quarterly federal tax return
ON 5A it dosent show me the taxable social security wages , I want to know why
Consider me a detective on the case of that line 5A of your 941 tax form, @Patricia_1323.
First, let's pull up your payroll summary report so we can verify if there are amounts deducted for your social security wages. Here's how:
If you're able to verify, update your payroll tax table by following these steps below.
Once done, restart your computer, open QuickBooks, and pull up your Form 941 again. You can also run the reboot.bat file if you're getting the same result. This will re-register your QuickBooks related .DLL and .OCX files which can address payroll tax form issues.
We also have a guide on E-file 940, 941, and 944 tax forms that I'm sure you'll find helpful. It contains detailed steps that'll walk you through in e-filing tax forms.
Feel welcome to message me anytime if you have other questions or concerns. I'll be around to assist you every step of the way. Take care and I wish you have a great day ahead.
Please help in filing 940 forms for calendar year 2019. 941 were filed but not the 940
Welcome to QuickBooks Community, bacamary. I'll share information to make sure you're able to file your 940 forms for the calendar year 2019.
Currently, we're unable to file 940 forms for the year 2019 within the QuickBooks system. You'll have to file manually outside QuickBooks and submit it to the IRS. Before that, you can get a report of details inside QuickBooks Desktop for the 940 and select the year 2019 to have a copy of the information. That way, you'll see all the data to use when filling out the form.
Here's how:
