Thanks for getting back to us, crystala.
I would like to get to the bottom of this as much as you do.
Our QuickBooks Blog is where you can find our future features, enhancements and product developments.
While our engineers are still looking for the permanent fix of the Workforce issue, I'd suggest contacting us so we can add you to our notification list.
Here's how:
Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have further questions about QuickBooks Desktop. We’re here to help you day and night.
Oh my goodness. I wish I could just talk to someone. I do not need a lesson on QuickBooks - I need a lesson on where to go AFTER I get to your blog. Please stop sending me your canned answers and think for a minute what I'm actually asking. If you are working on this, then it should be in this blog, right? This blog tells me how to hire people, not how to see what's coming down the pike. Please.
Our QuickBooks Blog is where you can find our future features, enhancements and product developments.
I can route you to the correct site, crystala.
If there are any services outages or interruptions, the status of the issue will be posted in the QuickBooks Status page and not in the QuickBooks Blog site.
You can get an email notification whenever QuickBooks creates, updates or resolves an incident. Just click the Subscribe To Updates button in the QuickBooks Status page.
Also, our product engineers will send you an email update once the issue is resolved.
Please hit the Reply button if you need anything else with payroll. I'm here to help.
What is the status of the original question in this thread? Is there a fix yet?
I've checked the investigation status and it's still in progress, lancpay.
We're closely working with our engineers to get this issue fixed. Right now, we don't have exact time frame as to when this unexpected behavior resolved.
You can visit this website to check the status of the investigation.
We appreciate your patience as we work on this.
This is NOT UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR! This was a functionality that was left out and needs to be added back. It is causing many of us a great deal of trouble. Please try and get us a time frame so that we can tell our clients before they leave us and QuickBooks payroll. I have already had 2 change to Gusto payroll because of this.
Could you PLEASE look at your own links and explain where we find anything that talks about this problem. You are all sending links, but don't bother to tell us where to look once we get there. Please be part of the solution - it's bad enough not having the functionality, losing business and being extremely frustrated, but your help is really not helping. Where are the supervisors? Please get someone involved. Evidently Priority Circle folks and Enterprise folks and ProAdvisor folks don't have a way of even knowing this is an issue? Not sure all of these special designations are fulfilling the purpose that we would hope they would. None of us have time for this, we are small businesses and need quick, complete assistance, not a bunch of rhetoric.
I Second that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bravo
Hi there, @crystala.
I understand how valuable your time is. This not what we want our customers to experience.
I know you want this to resolve as soon as possible. However, our engineers are still looking for a permanent fix to prevent this from happening again. If you have already called our support, you'll be notified once a resolution becomes available.
I'll take note of your feedback and raise it to our engineers for immediate action.
We appreciate your patience while we're fixing this. Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any other concerns. I'll be around to help.
I have 48 clients on QB payroll. No Admin access for paychecks since the change to Workforce. Why make the change without considering the people who do all the work?
Hi there, @DentonWineGuy,
I know how frustrating it could be when you don't have the employer access to view employee's paystubs sent onlinw. Let me provide some clarification about this issue.
At the moment, QuickBooks Workforce doesn't have an admin portal unlike ViewMyPaycheck. The website only gives you the option to send invitations to employee's who wants to access their paystubs online.
If you want to have the visibility to the pay stubs that were uploaded to our system, you can do that inside QuickBooks. Perform the steps below:
I'm taking note of your request and making it sure it reaches our developers. I want you to know that ideas and feedback from customers like you can help improve the our products and features.
In the meantime, we’re asking for your patience and understanding while we’re continuing to work on this. As always, I'm always around to help whenever you need a hand.
Jen_D,
That is fine for users within my company. We are accountants doing payroll for clients. Clients DO NOT have access to my desktop QB files. They need to be able to access the paychecks and paystubs WITHOUT having to call me or one of my employees to get the information.
We keep getting told this is being "noted" and "sent to the developers". Is there a timeline for this? Has it been put on the schedule for your programmers to work on? Where is it on the priority list?
If we are talking weeks, we can make this work. Months and we have to come up with another solution. Please have the courtesy to give us an honest timeline.
Thanks for getting back to this thread, tnpmommy.
I understand how the admin access in QuickBooks Workforce would be beneficial for you. The change is also based on how popular a specific feature request is.
As much as I would love to provide the specific date if when this option would be available, however, we don't have any update yet.
Finding new ways to adapt to our customers’ needs is how QuickBooks gets even better. I'll make sure to take note of this and will inform you once we receive product enhancement update about the availability of this feature.
Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns. Have a good one.
Finally, someone says something that makes total sense.
JanyRoseB says: The change is also based on how popular a specific feature request is.
So, I am gathering from this comment that the decision was purposely made to remove the administrative access to this feature and that there is no intention of ever putting it back. I am quite sure that it's very costly to put this back, so I'm not very hopeful that we'll ever get that function back. We'll be making other arrangements to get our clients what they need, even if Intuit does not do the same for us. Losing functionality was a bad move in QBOL and it's a bad move in Desktop. If this wasn't an option to start with, and we didn't rely on it to conduct business it wouldn't be a problem. But now, you've made it a problem. How sad.
Hi there, lancpay.
For now, there's no turn around time in adding the admin view of paychecks.
I've checked and found out that our product team is continuing to investigate this issue you're having with Workforce invitations. You'll receive an email from us once information is available.
We'll be around.
Thanks for joining the discussion, @crystala,
I completely understand where you're coming from, and I can see the inconvenience this has caused your business. Having an employer access to view employee's paystubs is something we look forward to be available in the QuickBooks Workforce website.
I know that not having the visibility to view which transactions are uploaded online can be a real pain when you have more important things to be doing. Our developers have a massive product road map and are implementing new features based on the functionality that works best for most users. I already submitted this request for them to review.
In the meantime, if you have an Admin access to QuickBooks, you can view the pay stubs that were uploaded to our system. Here's how:
We’re continually asking for your patience while this feature is not yet available. Please feel free to update me if you need additional assistance, as I want to make sure you're all taken care of.
When they started workforce for the employees they still had and I used the VMP site as an Admin to see all my employees paychecks. Why not simply bring VMP site back for the Admins?
To the rest of you who are as frustrated as I am with the lack of functionality to have our own admin access as well as provide that admin access to clients:
Let me tell you what happened as I heard it from a support person with whom I spent over an hour in chat and on the phone trying to get admin access. ViewMyPaycheck was not owned by Intuit. They had contracted out this fabulous service, but the time had come to end that contract and have an in-house viewing platform. Intuit bought the company responsible for the "new and UNimproved" Workforce.
What it comes down to is that Intuit set an implementation date, and they did not do their due diligence to ensure that existing functionality was retained. They just needed to get "something" out there to be sure they made their date. The result is that employees can view, but admins cannot. I--like many of you--expressed my dismay that a company as large and well-known and trusted as Intuit could blunder in such a fantastic way. The response I got was the same as the one you are getting here: that trained script "this is not our intent, so sorry for your experience" with no resolution in sight.
Intuit? Are you listening? You have so many customers who are losing patience. We cannot complete our own job functions or enable others to complete theirs without this functionality. How do we organize so that you hear us? Is there somewhere we can vote on functionality we'd like to have (restored)? Can you get us a realistic date? Do you care at all about your customers?
Hello fkyou,
We hear you and this issue with Workforce has been escalated to our senior managerial level. There isn't a timeline as to when the old functionality will be back. But, rest assure we'll notified you once there's an update.
We are grateful for you patience. If you have any other concerns, we are here to help.
Garlyn,
Where will that notification occur? Will we get an email? Do we have to return to this forum and search?
Hi there, @fkyou.
Yes, you'll receive email update since there's already an escalation about this. I will also personally post changes and improvements from our Developers through this thread from time to time.
I'll look into this for you and let you know as soon as I have more information. Have a good one.
