Are dental insurance premiums tax deductible for self-employed?

Hi, @bcomstock45.

There's an eligibility requirement so you can claim deductions from your dental premium. Let first set up your healthcare profile.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear Icon.
  2. Choose Healthcare.
  3. From the Healthcare Premium tab, set up your preferences.

Once completed, you'll be prompted whether you qualify to claim dental insurance deductions. If yes, make sure to categorize all dental insurance-related transactions under Schedule C: Health Insurance. Otherwise, you'll need to categorize your dental insurance deductions as personal expense transactions.

Also, you can check these articles to help you manage your health insurance premiums:

Lastly, I suggest consulting with your accountant so you'll be guided properly in claiming your self-employed related deductions.
