It's my priority for you to change the primary work location on your Payroll account, anya-yaremenko-g.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), we can only modify your primary work location by updating the work location address. However, changing the primary location is different, and we'll need help from our Payroll Support Team to get it done. But first, we can set up your new primary work location, so they can just select it when you contact them. To add a new work location, follow the steps below:
- Click the Gear icon and choose Payroll settings.
- Select Work Locations, then choose Add a Work Location.
- Add the new work location, then Save.
For changing your primary location to a new state, just follow the steps and details inChanging a primary state article.
Then, you may send a message via chat, call us at a time convenient to you, or we’ll get in touch with you instead. - Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
- Select Contact Us.
- Enter your concern.
- Click Let’s talk.
- Choose Get a callback.
- Type in your contact info.
- Select Confirm my call.
On the other hand, the option to delete a work location is unavailable. What we can do is to inactivate it so it won't show when you assign them to your employees or on reports. Let me show you how:
- Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll Settings.
- Click Overview and under the Company and Account section, click Work Locations.
- Select the work location and check the Inactive box.
- Press Save.
