Can I find out the last day of the current payroll period a week ahead of time?

Welcome to QuickBooks, DanaJ1.

Finding out the last day of your current payroll period ahead of time depends upon the pay schedule you used to run payroll and pay your employees.

Here are the types of pay schedules that you can select:

  • Weekly
  • Every other week or Bi-weekly
  • Twice a month or Semi-monthly
  • Monthly.

Once set up, you'll have the option to verify the last day of your current payroll by manually checking the calendar.

You have 2 days to submit your direct deposit payroll before your employees receive the paycheck or money regardless of the pay period. Here's an article that you can go over for more information: Create Pay Checks In Online Payroll.

To take a closer look at your business and view useful information about your employees, read this article for your reference: Run Payroll Reports.
