Can I make the kiosk the only way an employee can clock in and out?

Thank you for reaching out, Samantha. Ensuring accurate clock-ins and clock-outs is essential for managing on-site attendance effectively, and I’m here to help you set that up.

 

QuickBooks Time offers some control over how and where employees track their time. Once you invite your employees to use the app, they will automatically have access to various features, including clocking in and out, adding timesheets through the Workforce mobile application, and using the kiosk.

 

While we can't make the kiosk the only method for clocking in and out, you can use the GPS tracking feature to help prevent any fraudulent activities when employees use the app.

 

This feature allows you to monitor your employees' locations and their shifts, enabling you to easily see who is on duty and where they are.

 

To make location tracking mandatory for employees when they track time, please follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to Company Settings.  
  2. Navigate to the Location tab.  
  3. Under Tracking, select the Required option.  
  4. Click Save.
